Piero Lissoni is a trailblazing name in Italian design and architecture with very little regard for trends and rules when it comes to his creations. He is known for the constant release of unprecedented, both exterior and interior design pieces and his original architecture design ideas.
Lissoni has now collaborated with photographer Tommaso Sartori and released an all black-and-white collection of conceptual photography. The collection depicts several architectural structures, with a very interesting use of lighting and shadow effects, which impact not only the structures, but also the surrounding natural environment and give it a dark, soulful vibe.
The collection (unsurprisingly) turned out to be a conceptual design masterpiece, as Lissoni’s modernist style architecture clashes with the outstanding flurry of lights and shadows, combined with the contrast applied by the old-style black-and-white filter.
Besides his own brand Lissoni Associati, Piero Lissoni is an art director for several design brands: Alpi, Boffi, De Padova, Lema, Living Divani, Lualdi and Porro, and he’s won a total of 6 awards for his modern designs and installations – in 2017 alone. The full list of his career would demand an entire blog post of its own. Recently, Lissoni was also the award sponsor for his apprentice, Maison Et Objet 2018 Rising Talent Kensaku Oshiro.
At InteriorDesignGiants we dedicate ourselves to covering the work of the world’s best design artists so as to provide our viewers with the best design-related information and updates.
